Know Your Bingo Etiquette

Bingo etiquette is important in online bingo. You should know this etiquette to interact with other players well.

Etiquettes are rules that are not written but if you are chatting with other players you must have etiquette.

1. Use of CAPS in chatting.

Normally, players of bingo are not used to using CAPS in chatting. This is rude, using CAPS means that you are yelling or angry. So avoid using CAPS in conversing with other players.

2. Respect CL/CM

CL/CM or Chat Master is present in chat rooms to host the rooms and the games. You should not be rude in talking to CL. CL have the authority to kick rude players out of the game and out of the chat room.

3. Respect other players

Respect is a very important word. Respect your playmates to have a harmonious bingo game. In bingo online you are interacting with different kinds of people and different races. So learn to respect each others opinion and point of views.

These are the following rules that players must remember: > Player should not make any racial, sexual and ethnic slurs. > Players should not use foul and abusive language. > Players should not behave in an offensive manner.

4. Choose an appropriate nickname

Players normally use nicknames if they are playing online. So you should always remember that the nickname that you will use should not be words that can offend other players, associated with ethnic, sexual or racial terms that could offend.

Do not choose nicknames that are swear words and anything that is not appropriate.

5. Keep a friendly and fun chat atmosphere

Chat rooms are supposed to have a friendly atmosphere. No swearing and no fighting. If you can't control your emotions and anger leave the chat room before being kicked.

Chat rooms are not the place to complain about the game or about other players. There is a right place for that. This is also not the place to express your anger with other people outside of bingo.

6. Use of Improper words in chat rooms

This is a no, no. You do not swear, do not insult and do not make any sexual comments. Chat rooms should be free from these words. Chat rooms should be clean and friendly.

7. Do not impersonate

Impersonating other players while chatting is not a good idea. If the CL or CM finds out you can be kicked out or get banned.

8. Do not brag about your winnings

Sharing your stories of success to other players is not a bad idea. In fact it is a good idea so that you can give other players hope that they can win too. You can also give them advice on how you won the game but, never ever brag about it.

Same thing applies if another player won a game; be happy for him or her. Congratulate them and have a peaceful conversation.

9. Do not use chat rooms to advertise

If you are a member of an organization or business, leave it behind you for a while. Bingo should be fun, so never use chat rooms to advertise, recruit or campaign for anyone or anything. There is always another place for that.
